1. Journey of Creativity – Lately I’ve been chatting with God more and more about his perspective on art, and more specifically, visual art. I heard a comment from a Pastor here at Hillsong who was on a discussion panel one service and he said “People come up to me and talk to me about their ‘calling’ and I want to say, ‘show me your bookshelf!’” That that line really stuck out to me! I mean, I’m a decent reader, but I realized I’ve been reading relatively random books and not specifying my study and research into areas that I believe God is calling me to. The next morning I cringed as I pulled out my credit card to pay for a fairly large amazon book order; however, a few pages into “The Artisan Soul” by Erwan McManus and my jaw has dropped and my highlighter is well used!
(Below: my friend Andy (an Audio Engineer at Hillsong College) literally had me surrounded with microphones when we recorded my violin for one of my video projects. I love how God opens doors for me to explore more than just one of my artsy passions here at college! It was SOOO great to be in the studio again!)
2. Laughter – Shoutout to my classmates who make me laugh SO SO much! I had a little games night with a few friends from my TV class and my stomach was in pain while watching their extreme goofiness! I’m thankful for friendships that have continued into second year and grown – and ones that make me laugh!

3. First Love – You know those times when Jesus just overwhelms you with his love, his purpose and his blessing on your life? I’ve had a few of those moments this month. Though they have been wondrous and caused weeping, they have also been quite firm reminders from the Lord. The other day at chapel they were singing “Reckless Love” by Cory Asbury (which is currently my favourite song) and I felt the Holy Spirit reminding me that his love is endlessly strong and true, and in that moment there was absolutely zero room for doubt!
