Nine Months In.

Nine months.  Feels like something should be birthing within me after this specific period of time, ha!

1. Videos, videos, videos
I don’t think I’ve ever had so many video projects on the go!  I mean, I know I came to college or Film & TV and everything, but woah!  Including personal projects, jobs and assessments I think I’m working on 8 different projects!  Although this is at times overwhelming, I most often come away from editing a little more skilled, a little more educated and excited for the next chance I get to work on it (clearly I’m in my zone, people!).
2. Keeper of Dreams
One of my recent video projects was a testimony video assessment.  My classmates and I decided to interview a couple in college who had to wait 18 years to come – talk about patience, perseverance and holding onto a promise!  Their story is truly inspiring (I’ll post it on my blog soon!) and all the little stories of God’s provision and faithfulness gave me chills!  The wife ended the session by exclaiming how God is faithful and the “keeper of our dreams,” – especially of those that he plants within us.  It reminded me that I truly am living the dream, and that God has seriously fulfilled many of the desires within my heart that I honestly didn’t expect or believe him to (I know, so full of faith, right?  I’m learning!).  This makes me so excited for the future and what I’ll get to see God do in my life!
3. Full Life
I’ve decided that instead of the word “busy” – which immediately brings to my own mind stress and scatterbrained-ness – I’ll use the word “full.”  So, my life is very “full” lately. 🙂 Even though I have seen my calendar fill in significantly more than first semester, all of it is with incredible opportunities and things that I actually love to do – so, why stress, right?  And yet I’ve realized that stress is a hard thing to control, or maybe that’s actually the point.  Maybe stress is trying to stay in control when God wants us to toss our everything straight at him.
“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.”
Psalm 55:22 (NIV)
