One Year and Two Months in.

Here’s some clips of this month’s shenanigans, and 3 pieces of my little heart:

  1. There is More! – Pastor Brian Houston recently released a new book, and ever since my goal last year to read a book a month, I’ve become more eager to pick up a good read like this.  I was also excited to get to meet him in person to get it signed!  Kind of funny to line up to get my senior Pastor’s signature on a book, but I have so much respect for that man and admire his visionary heart and faithfulness over the years.  It was great to be able to thank him in person for all he’s done, and the impact it has had on people specifically in my generation, after all, if it hadn’t been for him and Bobbie, Hillsong Church and Hillsong College wouldn’t exist!

  1. Cool Kids – Quick shoutout to my dear group of Canadian friends, affectionately known as “the Cool Kids!”  When I arrived back in Sydney after my Christmas in Canada, I realized that I especially missed that group of friends that I could always depend on for a laugh, a good time, and a good convo.  I’m blessed and surrounded by many amazing people here in Australia, but I also found myself longing for that group of people.  Well, let’s just say I don’t think there’s been a TV class this semester that I haven’t laughed in, due to my crazy and amazing classmates that I spend almost every day with.  Several weeks ago a few of us went to the beach for the day (clips of this are in the video) – a rare occurrence since we don’t often have free time to do things outside of college/church life!  So here’s to more beach days, inside jokes, and a continuation of our on-going Lord of the Rings marathon!

  1. Colour Conference – We have just finished Colour Conference 1 in Sydney and it has been an incredible and beautiful experience!  I don’t think I’ve had so much fun during a conference before.  Not only is it such a privilege to be part of an event that people come from far and wide to attend, but it is also SO FUN!  I’ve been able to be part of the TV team – A.K.A. all my friends! – as well as the strings team for one special song.  I think I will forever remember sitting on stage with my violin, only a few feet behind Brooke Ligertwood (FAN GIRLING INSIDE!), seeing nearly 8,000 woman worshiping God, declaring his rule and reign across the planet.  Wow!
